Gone Fishing

I am back. I can't believe I remembered to post again. I wish I could make this a habit. Jairo stayed home today since he was so exausted from fishing yesterday. We went to lago Guajataca. We invited Julio Nolla who is Cano's uncle. He is legaly blind. Jairo thought his walking stick was a sword and kept trying to take it from him. I did not know those sticks were retractable.

With just a flick of your wrist the thing comes flying out. We were at the lake for over an hour and did not catch anything. We were both getting worried and I think Julio thought the lake did not have any fish. Julio has had alot of fishing experince in his life. We finaly decided to eat a sandwich. As soon as we started eating the fish wanted to eat too. I have never seen such a fast fisherman as Julio. The fish was just thinking about biteing the bait and he was on it. We had a small celebration In the picture you see Jaime and Julio showing the dupleta they caught. That was just before Julio let go of his fishing pole and caught Jaime with the hook. Jaime tried to take it out himself but he could not reach very well. Julio then told Jaime that he could not believe he did not know how to use and "alicate" since he pulls teeth with one. You should have seen a blind man trying to get a hook out of Jaime's leg with a fish on the other hook on the rapala and another live fish in his hand and a cigar in his mouth. He was not going to let got the fish or the cigar. I was just trying to help and then the blood started running. Little did we know all the blood was from the fish when we cut him off the hook. I finally got the cigar out of Julio's mouth so we could have some kind of communication other than the muffled sounds that were words that I did not understand. I finally cut the hook but the barb was still inside. Then he took the only surgical tool, pliers, we had away from me and proceeded to take out the remaining part of the hook. Can you imagine. It was not funny at the time. Just ask Jairo who's eyes were going to pop out of his head. After it was all over and we had all the fishing poles back in the water, Jairo was still frozen in the same position he was in. I told him his dad was OK but he did not believe it until Jaime told him he was ok. Then he said "What about the blood?" Jaime told him it was from the fish. Jairo was not convinced but kept fishing! We caught 8 fish. I am getting my frying pan ready for this weekend!

Welcome to my Blog!

I have been wanting to create a blog for along time. Jairo is growing up and I am not getting any younger. I will have to start to get things written before I forget. I have been an avid blog reader for sometime now. I love reading something well written. Maybe so of it would rub off on me but I don't count on it. My goal is to document our family's life. It is so ever changing but at the same time it remains the same. My baby who was just born yesterday is turning 3 this month. Time goes buy too fast. As soon as I get me keyboard replaced on my laptop I hope I will be on my way to at least a weekly blog. Yes, Jairo riped 12 keys of it! That is not the worse part. He dropped them one by one into the door frame with took me hours to get out so I can send the laptop to manufacturer with all the parts so the warranty will cover it. I also hope to get some previous dates posted too. I was just logging off but I deiced not to procrastinate any longer. I am now going to bed since I have a busy week ahead. Comuter crashed at the office with no backup available! Someone maybe in big trouble for this one. Lets see if I can get the info from the old harddrive. Jairo's Birthday plans are in the making. I have no idea what I am going to do. I am partied out! I have been to too many Birthay parties, Weddings and other social events in the last 30 days. Who knows? Anyone have an idea? Let me know. I am thinking simple this birthday. Lets see how the stress levels are doing by the end of this week.

Aristides' Wedding

Today was Aristides wedding. Everything was very nice. The church was on 129 Iglesia Bethania and the reception was at Camuy Club de Leones. We had a very nice time. Ivy's son Kevin is Jairo's age. Melanine is 6 years old and is Jairo's idol. On our way to the reception I stopped to buy Jairo a toy so he could play with to keep him entertained since he was running up and down the isle at the church with Kevin. I got him a set of 20 hotwheel cars. Little did I know they would be used as flying objects at the reception. Jairo was the life of the party.

Election Day and Motercycle Ride

Election Day! Obama for President! We can not vote for the president of the U.S. president but I sure wanted him to win. His speak was hair staning. That is what the United States needs. As for Puerto Rico, we voted for Luis Fotuno,PNP and Hector Rafael, PPD. Fortuno won! Hector Rafael lost. I guess I be helping Anibal Acevedo Vila move as soon as possible. Too bad Lemuel Soto won. We need a new mayor but I will have to wait another 4 years. I ofered my PNP con Hector Rafael shirt to Jaime so he can use it to wash the car. Then I thought again. I can use it in 4 years from now! Lets see what happens. We went to Ramiro's house so Jairo could ride around the yard with Jaime. He loved it. He had a great time!

Anibal Acevedo Vila

For all that have not seen this picture of Anibal Acevedo Vila at Disney World. Isn't that just so cute. I wonder how much this outfit cost. LOL
